Instructors who respect the road you have travelled

Every Wise Years Pro facilitator combines professional credentials with a genuine commitment to adult education. They are selected as much for their patience and warmth as for their subject expertise.

Dr. Mei Lin Tan

Lead Facilitator · Mindful Aging & Purpose

Mei Lin holds a doctorate in adult education from NIE and has practised mindfulness meditation for over twenty years. Before founding Wise Years Pro, she spent a decade designing leadership programmes for multinational corporations — experience that taught her how rarely those curricula served participants over fifty. Her facilitation style is gentle and structured: she creates space for silence as comfortably as for conversation.

She is certified by the Mindfulness Training Institute and has completed additional training in grief-informed facilitation. Mei Lin speaks English and Mandarin and can provide bilingual materials upon request for the Mindful Aging programme.

James Ho leading a financial planning discussion with course participants

James Ho

Financial Educator · Financial Confidence After 45

James is a Certified Financial Planner with fifteen years of experience in community financial literacy programmes across Singapore. He left product-sales roles early in his career because he preferred teaching people to understand their options rather than closing transactions. His workshops at Wise Years Pro are strictly educational — he maintains no commissions, referral fees, or insurance agency affiliations.

Participants appreciate his ability to translate CPF rules and insurance terminology into plain language without oversimplifying. James updates course materials annually to reflect regulatory changes and invites a licensed estate lawyer for an informational Q&A each cohort.

Sandra Fernandez reviewing a student's painting in the studio

Sandra Fernandez

Creative Director · Creative Renaissance Workshop

Sandra trained at Lasalle College of the Arts and spent twelve years curating community art programmes for the National Arts Council before joining Wise Years Pro. She believes creative expression is a fundamental human need, not a luxury reserved for the professionally talented. Her studio sessions emphasise process over product — learners are encouraged to experiment without fear of judgment.

Sandra oversees all three creative tracks and brings in guest practitioners for specialised sessions: a published memoirist for the writing track and a documentary photographer for the photography track.

Priya Nair assisting a learner with a smartphone during a digital skills session

Priya Nair

Digital Skills Lead · Digital Literacy for Everyday Life

Priya spent eight years as an IT trainer for a major telco before recognising that corporate training modules failed mature customers who needed slower pacing and more repetition. At Wise Years Pro, she co-teaches the digital literacy programme with an assistant instructor so every learner receives individual attention during hands-on exercises.

She maintains the course quick-reference guides, tests every procedure on both iOS and Android before each cohort, and runs a two-week post-course email support line for questions that arise once learners return home.
