5-week programme · SGD 348
Pick up the creative threads you set aside years ago — or discover new ones. Choose from art, writing, or photography tracks in our supportive Bras Basah studio.
Creativity does not expire at retirement. Yet many adults tell us they stopped drawing, writing poetry, or taking photographs seriously when career and family demands consumed their time. The Creative Renaissance Workshop offers permission and structure to return — or to begin for the first time — in a cohort of peers who share the same hesitation and excitement.
At enrolment, you select one of three tracks. Sessions combine instructor demonstrations, hands-on practice, and gentle feedback circles where sharing is encouraged but never mandatory. The programme ends with an informal showcase: invite family and friends to view your work displayed in our studio, or participate only as a learner if public display feels uncomfortable.
Watercolour and charcoal fundamentals; colour mixing; still life and landscape exercises. All paints, paper, and brushes provided.
Memoir fragments, personal essay, and poetry prompts. Develop three polished pieces with peer and instructor feedback.
Smartphone and basic camera techniques; composition and light; storytelling through image sequences. Optional neighbourhood photo walk.
Ten sessions over five weeks, twice weekly. Each session runs two hours: thirty minutes of instruction, seventy minutes of guided practice, twenty minutes of optional sharing. Homework consists of one creative prompt between sessions — typically requiring thirty to forty-five minutes.
